School is back in session and the season is definitely changing. Riding my bike back from the shop yesterday was surprisingly chilly on a sunny day, and it made me realize that before it starts snowing, we need to show you some great stuff from the summer.
Among the fabulous wedding suites we printed this summer was a bold, type-driven design for Corliss and Amani, designed by the talented Julie Teninbaum. This is a lovely two-color suite on 100% cotton, super-heavy 220 lb. cover. We love the distinctive Art Deco type on this invitation; the “C” next to the “O” makes a beautiful triangle. Check out the playful kitty scampering across the bottom of the invitation–the designer really captured the couple’s playfulness.
Next we have a business system for the talented portrait photographer Camille Deann, designed by the fine folks at Making Brands Happen. Her custom-duplexed business card features shiny gold foil and gold edge-painting; the note card has blind impression printing on the back side. The system also includes a DVD sleeve, gift tag, and note cards.
We love edge painting, and this two-color business card from Sarah Sorrentino at Foglio Press with its lovely spring green is a great example of using a contrasting edge color to make the printed ink pop.
And lastly, a less traditional wedding invitation. This piece is perforated so that the R.S.V.P. may be detached and returned for a slight twist on the typical. We do like different.
